I got married four years ago and changed my last name. Since that time, I have made repeated efforts to effect that change in the Navy’s retired pay system so that my tax records will show my correct name. I have failed thus far but called them again recently and got yet another set of instructions and am trying again with high hopes.
I realized I should print out a copy of my pay statement so that I can circle the problematic name and draw arrows to it and write “please fix this” so they know what I am asking for. Buy thwarts ensue!
