The Cadettes spent an hour digging for hours. (Nobody check my math on that statement.) We gouged two, thigh-deep holes, yet we failed to wrangle the poles out. Fortunately, the fire station will probably be able to saw through them this week.
Why we were digging: The fire station has replaced the tiny community building as the local voting location, so the accessible parking signs needed to be moved. I volunteered the Girl Scout Troop to dig them up.
I will not be asking the girls or other parents how happy they are that I rogered us up for this task.
